Story

In the late 1980s, when Estonia was still under Soviet occupation, we embarked on an adventure in silk-screen printing T-shirts. At that time, such business activities were strictly prohibited, and so our creations had to be kept secret. Self-designed shirts, sometimes including plagiarized designs, marked the first steps on our journey. Production took place underground—every print run and delivery required ingenuity and caution. Procuring materials, organizing printing, and transporting the finished products were true adventures. If caught, our goods would be confiscated, and in some cases, the punishment could have been much more severe. Our journey was often full of close calls, but good disguises and skillful escapes helped us persevere. Operating under such tense conditions brought both excitement and adrenaline, fueling us to keep going. The turbulent times of the 1990s, however, put our endeavors on hold. Yet, the desire to continue this wonderful journey of designing T-shirts has occasionally lingered in my mind. Now, encouraged by my daughter, I’ve decided to take up this path once again. I hope you’ll find something here that resonates with you—something special and meaningful.
